About

About Me

I am a BACP-registered Humanistic counsellor, qualified through the University of Chichester.

My foundation is rooted in over a decade of care and public-facing work here in Portsmouth, which taught me the vital importance of creating a space where people can feel genuinely heard and supported.

In our work together, I combine that grounded environment with a focused, perceptive approach to human behaviour.

Rather than just talking in circles, we look closely at the underlying psychological patterns, relationship dynamics, and subtle behaviours that might be keeping you stuck—giving you the clarity needed to regain your footing and move forward.

Sessions

Counselling Sessions

My practice offers sessions both face to face and remotely via phone or video chat.

Each session will last for up to 50 minutes and cost between £50 - £55 per session

Both services provide unique therapeutic experiences and have different benefits:

Face to Face Sessions

A traditional, dedicated space in Portsmouth designed to explore underlying psychological patterns without daily distractions.

Creative Approach: Where appropriate, it can include creative tools, such as sand tray and object therapy, to help express complex feelings when words aren't enough.

Investment: £55 per 50-minute session.

Remote
Sessions

Flexible online and telephone therapy designed to fit seamlessly into your schedule, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own space.

Flexible & Convenient: Eliminates travel time and offers a supportive environment if visiting a practice in person feels daunting.

Focused Connection: Whether via secure video or phone, sessions maintain the same deep focus on feeling heard and working through underlying patterns.

Investment: £50 per 50-minute session

Our First Session Together

Our initial session is very similar to our regular therapy sessions, with the main goal being to see if we feel like the right match to work together.

We will start with a brief, 5-minute chat to handle some essential paperwork. During this time, I will gently ask what has brought you to counselling and explain how my practice works, ensuring you feel completely safe and informed from day one.

Together, we will then explore any goals you might have and get a rough idea of what our journey could look like. We will also look over a simple counselling contract to establish our working relationship, ensuring everything proceeds entirely at your pace and with your complete agency.

Location

My face to face sessions are held at the Therapy Rooms, in Bransbury Park. Please note that I will only be able to see people by appointment only. Because I am frequently in session with clients, I cannot always answer spontaneous phone calls. For the fastest response, please drop me a text or email, and I will personally get back to you within 48 hours.

If you have an appointment, feel free to use the map below for directions.

Address: Bransbury Park Consulting Rooms, Eastney, Portsmouth, PO4 9SU

(Appointment Only)

Accessibility

Having spent a lot of time within the care industry, I appreciate the importance of accessibility and how limiting it can be when facilities do not meet requirements.
My practice is held in a wheelchair friendly building with ramps and disabled toilet.
